Whoopsi Daisy DT Hot Colours

Looks like Summer may have finally arrived, it has been a scorching week here in London and promises to remain the same until the weekend.

So what better way to celebrate than with our new challenge for July at Whoopsi Daisy where we want to see some HOT COLOURS on your projects.

For my card I have used two of the cute images from sheet 55 which can be found at the Whoopsi Daisy Designs Shop papers are from the Fancy Pants Sweet Spring Set. flowers are punched from the paper with some roses from stash added and coloured with stickles. I coloured Gaisy with the Derwent pencils and Copics for her skin. Butterflies were punched with my MS punch and stamp.

I carried the papers through to the inside and added the second Daisy this one I coloured with Copics for a brighter finish.

I made this card for the Dotties World Challenge No Designer Papers, but being a bit of a dimlow I just found out that was last weeks challenge and this week its paper piecing!!!!!!!!!!!

I was inspired to use the Daisy Pixie after seeing the turorial on Dotties World Tutorials.

These pixies are soo adorable and I really dont use them enough.

I decoupaged the pixie and flower pot so she really stands out not sure if that really shows on the photo though, never thought to take a side view duh!

Anyway hope you like.

Inspiration Challenge 5

We have a lovely quilt to challenge you this week at CowGirl Up Sunday Stampin Challenge and would like to see what you create using this as your inspiration.

I have used more papers from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs to make my quilt pattern inside an aperture card.
I have used Tricia which can be purchased from Cowgirl Up Stampen Ranch. As digi images are so versatile I resized Tricia and flipped her for the Tricia in the background.

Hope to see you at the challenge

Today I want to share with you a card I made using the Check Fairy.

I just love this little cutie she is so versatile and easy to colour LOL. Today she is living in Fantasy Land and I do hope the weather is better there (It's another miserable Summers day here in London, no sun in sight!).
These gorgeous papers are from Raspberry Road Designs. I printed the papers onto glossy paper to give them their best effect and coloured Check Fairy with Copics and Shimmerz for her wings I then covered all of her in Glossy Accents. This made the Shimmerz crack on the wings but I have left it cos its made a great effect.

I just couldnt resist using more of these lovely papers so made this an Easel card. I punched Check Fairy and made a stop with her for the easel.

Quick look at the bottom papers in full, arent they just fabby, so am going to have to make some more fairy cards to use the rest of these papers!

Anyhoo I think I have probably held you up for long enough now so you need to be on your way to Claire of Claire's Crafty Creations Next. Don't forget to leave some love in order to win the prizes!

Kenny K Digi and Derwent Pencils

Kenny K has some fab new digi images and is looking for a new design team to try your luck pop over to Donna's Blog and get all the info.

Had to go to Moorfields the eye hospital yesterday for more tests on my eyes - they say they are getting better Yippee, so to celebrate I went to the art shop where Hubby picks up my Copics for me, havent been there before and wow what an Aladdin's cave. Well ages ago my DH brought me some Derwent Coloursoft pencils from there and I have tried to use them but never been very happy with the result so they have been kinda gathering dust.
Anyhoo I am always seeing cards that have been coloured with Prismacolours and Gamsol and they always look so great I thought I would see if they had them, apparently here in the UK we are not worthy of them and the closest is what I have got, Lady in shop wasnt sure if Gamsol would work for blending with them though, so got a bottle to try and here is the result, What Ya all think???????

This is a new digi from Kenny K, isn't she fabulous. Coloured her with the Coloursoft and blended with Gamsol. Papers are from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs from her Digi Sets Spots, Ginghams and Plaids. Another Flower using the Tim Holtz die which I added some beads to.

When Life Was Simple

Just wanted to show you the card I made for my boy's birthday.

The papers are Sweetpring from Fancy Pants Designs.

I cut flower using the Tim Holtz Alterations Distressed Flowers Die Cut in my Bug. I distressed the petals with Fired Brick Distress Inks. and added a brad to hold thm together after a bit of shaping. The edge of the card was also done using a Tim Holtz Die Cut.

The Sentiment is from Nana Vic's shop from her Toilet Training Set.

Now bless his heart he said on opening the card and looking at the front that it was really nice, then he opened it up and had a good laugh.

Just so you know he is now 28. LOL.

Signing the Fession

I'm signing the fession, it is now official I am that stoopid.
When I made the Check Fairy card I had it in my head that one of the challenges I could use the image in, called for Green. Hence one green check fairy, but being a bit dim, when I went to find the challenge it was Dottie's World that wanted green.

Now I just love the cute images from Charmed Cards and I dont use them enough so I just had to make another green card.
I chose this sweet little girl from the Sugar n Spice collection for this card coloured with Copics.

Papers are Earthtones from Hot off the Press. Flowers I sprayed with green glimmer mist

Peach, Dark Peach and Lemon

Well this card has definetely been a challenge for me and not least the taking of the photos. I started this card yesterday morning and have only just finished it.

The original inspiration came from the Jorunn at the WOJ Inspirtation Blog and I suggest if you want to see it done well you should hop on over there!

This card was a whole host of 1st's for me (and probably lasts lol.
The gorgeous images are all from Whiff of Joy 1001 Nights and this was the first time I had inked them.

Now as you may know yesterday the sun was shining and it was a too good a day to spend it indoors, so I decided to craft outside in my bikin (Good job I have very high fences lol) but there I hit my first problems it was too hot to use my copics they bled like mad - and my watercolours were drying too quick to do any sort of shading so I tried to do some colouring with Derwent pencils and blender pencil - looks like I need loads of practise. (although they look a bit beter IRL probably cos its no so close up and enlarged).

I then thought I would be well clever and use a sewing machine on the papers Umm not too clever obviously - that was soo hard to keep the papers straight in the machine they kept sliding off in every direction hence lines that are just sooooo not straight and these ones are about the 10th try! Something else to practice?
The flowers are also part of the set from WOJ which I stamped and coloured loads of times sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and then shaped and layered them. Have to say I was pleased how they turned out.

These gorgeous swirls I cut on my CraftRobo and were a freebie from Lisa Jane at Filekutz and the papers are a mixture from Raspberry Road and Donna at Bearly Mine Designs
