Challenge 13 - Lilian's Sketch

This is my entry for the Suar Bowl Challenge, which was a skech to follow and to use Kraft or brown and cream. I didnt have any Kraft so went for the brown and cream option.
Papers are once again from Extreme Designer Vol 2. Flowers are an assortment from Petaloo and Nicky and Donna, thank you ladies. Some buttons and lace from my little Indian shop.

Pocket Full of Posies

Stamping for the weekend's challenge this week is a pocket full of..........
I have used another Pixie from Charmed Cards
which I have coloured with copics and added fairy dust. (Whoever said that crafters dont make mistakes they have happy accidents LIED, I coloured my first pixie and have to say I was really pleased at how her dress turned out, I thought to myself that i'm starting to really get the hang of this shading lark. Anyways there I am happily guillotining my designer papers, when I realised that the pixie had got stuck to the back of one and I had cut her in half!!!!!!!!! What a plum!
I really didnt think it was a happy accident in fact I said a few naughty words, like 'oh dear' and 'sugar'!!!!!!!!!!! Hence there is now half a pixie on the inside. (and her dress is so not as good second time round).
The papers I have used are from Extreme Designer Vol 2 and card from an old Anna Griffen set.
I haven't put anything inside the envelopes as yet cause im not sure who this card will be for.

Summertime blues

I know she is green but she looks quite melancholy, I think the other pixies have gone off to play and left her on her own. The papers I have used on this card are from the Fantasy collection by Raspberry Road.
Pixie, flower pot and sentiment are from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Kim's Sketch

Ok here he is, my favourite dragon that Alan drew, Gramps.

I just love his face and that cute goatee. I am entering him into this week DU2DS, which has a really nice sketch by Kim .
I coloured Gramps with my Copics. The papers are the Fathers Day collection downloaded from Summer Driggs.

This is such a lovely set of papers I added some extras on the inside. The Bottle top is also in the

collection and I added the text to it. I cut the digi paperclip off and added a real one, for a bit of extra dimension.

Patty

This cute image is Patty, not one of Alan's this time, but from Kimmi at Poppy Petal Designs she does the most gorgeous charms as well you can check out her shop here http://poppy-petal-designs-shop.blogspot.com/.
This little guy is one of Kimmi's patchwork friends, I was gonna print him on patterned paper for paper piecing, but main computer was having a hissy fit and refused to play nicely, it has got into the habit of going on strike and switching itself off- so frustrating, cos it always happens after I have spent ages sorting out papers and sizes and then just as I go to press print - ding and its gone. Anyway instead of paper piecing I did a bit of paper weaving and added some flowers that I coloured with copics
Colours on the photo havent come out to well, its kinda dull and grey here now the storm has passed, not the best light for photos unless your David Bailey of course!
Now I was gonna enter this on in the papertake weekly challenge which is for downloads till I realised I had already entered this weeks challenge - dah im such a div at times.
Hope you all have a great weekend, thanks for looking your comments are always appreciated.
Beccy x

Dinner?

Wow did anyone else get the megga thunderstorm, that we had in London. It lasted for ages and the hailstones were huge. My poor cats came in looking more like drowned rats - they were not impressed when I attacked them with towels.
Anyway here is another drawing done by my baby boy Alan.
Not sure if the adoring look on her face is because she is thinking how good that little fish is gonna taste or that she is just contented watching it play.
I coloured her with copics and added extra layers of grass.
I used a Sakura glitter pen to edge the water and the fish and edged the card with spiced marmalade and mustard seed distress inks. Patterned paper is from Donna of Bearly Mine Designs cd, Extreme Designer vol 1.

Arianne's Sketch challenge 5

Apologies for the terrible photos, but this ismy entry for the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge. I have used another dragon drawn by my son. This is the boy dragon in the set. I was experimenting with these dragons with different colouring mediums. On this one I used Whisper Pens with water. I found it gave a reat effect on his body, but I dont think it shows to well in the photo. The papers I used are from Kars Trend Line, which I have had for ages and never used as they are really bold and bright and totally ou of my comfort zone, but I think they worked ok with the dragon.
I am off to do my next dragon I thought that the Nan and Gramps were going to be my favourites and had ideas of doing them for anniversary cards, but my boy popped round last night and drew me another dragon which is so cute it is now my fav. Doubt that it will get turned into a card tonight so will probably post it tomorrow after the H......W....

Doris the Dragon

Just had to show you this gorgeous dragon image. She is the Mom from a set of seven. (I have named her Doris after my MIL) lol. I have had great fun this evening colouring them in.

The card itself is probably not the best designed card to put a digital dragon on, but i wanted to do something quick before I went to bed. Hopefully I will use her and the rest of the family in better ways over the coming weeks. Well I better had anyway, otherwise I will be in trouble as my Baby Boy drew these for me after seeing some of my digi downloads. Just wait till you see nan and gramps they are to die for!

I'm goin to enter this in the CDM challenge, which is animals this week - do you think dragons count, although im not sure if you can use other images or not. Oh well im sure they will tell me if I cant!

Hope you all have a great night

Create a scene

The challenge at dare you to digi stamp this week is to create a scene - have to say Mojo really was missing so not too happy with this offering but not sure if I will have time to do another one.

the pixie is a download from Charmed Delectable Stamps, which I coloured with Sakura glitter pens, bit hard to get a photo of as the glitter bounces back, but you kinda get the idea.

Papers are a mixture of Raspberry Road Fantasy paper and from stash.

almost there

I have now attached most of the picci, still have a bit more colouring to do on the birds, to loose the rest of the white bits.
After that it's over to hubby to put the mountboard on. once he has done that I wil add more leaves so they drape over the outside, then hubby if I am really nice to him!!!! Will frame it for me.
(That will mean a homemade meat pie - what were you thinking!)

Work in Progress 4

I thought I would show you how I am starting to put the background together, whilst I am waiting for it to dry. Hopefully from the pics you should be able to see the dimension in the bricks. The great thing about this pic is I can cheat a bit and instead of paper bushes I have used modelling moss, which gives a great bush effect. When this is all dry I will be able to attach the gate which is all completed and put the Robins on that are also drying as they had to be painted to get rid of the white bits, where I snip the feathers.

Work in progress 3

just a little bit of more of my pic - I am now getting all the bits together ready to start assembly, this is the bit I dont like so much cos it can all go horribly wrong from here.

If all goes well I will be able to show you the layout by the end of the day.

fingers crossed x

Rock and Roll 60's Challenge 3

Stampin For The Weekend's challenge this week is really unusual, you can take your pick from three different song titles to base your card on. I chose a Whiter Shade of Pale as I wanted to make a new baby card for my niece, and took the title as meaning muted colours.

I downloaded these papers from Raspberry Road, they are called Shabby Rose and I love the whole set, so have continued them on the inside.

The image is one of the New Whiff of Joy stamps Willow and Baby, this set of stamps is soo yummy I know I am gonna be making lots of baby and wedding cards. Lol.

The roses are from Donna and the lace I picked up at Ally Pally.

I was going to use this card for another challenge as well, but was having a bit of a moment when I put it together and missed out quite a big element. Dah.

Challenge 3

This card I made for the The Next Level Challenge which this week was a sketch.

I put off doing this card as I was hoping that the WOJ stamps woud arrive today and thought this sketch would be perfect for the willow and baby stamp and the tag would make a lovely gift voucher holder for my niece who gave birth the day before yesterday to a gorgeous little girl, but sadly they did not come as the postmen were on strike, so inconvenient they could have waited till after the stamps arrived. lol.

Anyway I thought if I put it off any longer it would be too late.

The image is a Sarah Kay that was stamped for me by Donna, thanks hun I love these stamps but they may have to stay on the wish list for a bit longer. I coloured her in copics.
The papers are from Papermania. Ribbon is Anita's and charm and pretty little flower braid is from my little Indian shop. Hopefuly if you enlarge the photo you will be able to see how cute it really is. I have done some faux stitching using a sakura pen. Fowers are a mixture of Petaloo and from Nikki (have you checked out her shop she has MEMENTO INK PADS!).

Anyways hope you all have a great weekend, I'm working tomorrow boohoo but hopefully i will have an almost finished Robin Picci for you on Sunday.

Paper Piecing Challenge 35

For this challenge I used downloaded a set of papers called Raspberry Jam from Raspberry Road, who have some lovely papers to buy and lots of freebies. I printed the papers out onto pearlescent papers which gives a very delicate glimmer, but you cant really see it on the photo, sorry.
The image is from the Whiff of Joy Summer Kit.
I used the paper piecing technique for her clothes and hair band. I coloured her skin and hair with copics.
I made the flower from the left over DP's, I used a papermania brad to hold it together and sprayed with red Glimmer Mist.
The charm is one that came on braid from a little Indian shop that is full of goodies.
It is one of those places that I love to go in because you just dont know what you wil find.
Leaves were ones I punched and just to go a little bit OTT I added some gems.
For the inside I used a mixture of Raspberry Jam and Designer Extreme Inserts from the talented Donna at Bearly Mine Designs.
I have also entered this card in the Creative Inspirations Challenge which also happens to be Paper Piecing.

Circles 3 for the price of 1

Heres my entry for the Cute Daisy May challenge which this week is to use a CDM image and circles. For the fairy on the front which I think is from sheet 35, I cut the wings off and added wings which I made with wire and Utee in my melting pot. Well I say I made but Hubby shaped the wire for me cause I was being a bit useless lol. It is nor very clear on the photo but if you enlarge it you can see that I have used a vellum which has white dotty circles on it. Which makes this card eligible for the Stamp with Fun challenge of dots. The charm I picked up in the market, it was actually on braiding which I cut off. Flower from the Range.
I continued the theme on the inside but this time I coloured her wings with a sakura glitter pen and embossed the circle in my cuttlebug.
The lots to do challenge is open so I will also enter my card in that one.

Jeanettes Sketch

This is for the challenge over at Friday Sketchers I've turned the sketch round so Annie fits in a bit better. thought i would be a bit different with the inside on this one and added another couple of Annies. Although as I look at the inside now I think it looks a bit plain so I might add afew more embellishments. These gorgeous papers are from Donna's CD Creative Fusions, there is a whole set of matching papers with different themes on the CD, this particular set is centered around a gorgeous bear, as this is my all time favourite colour I will be using this set a lot methinks. I threaded Anna Griffen Ribbon through the lace. to match in with Annies dress. Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by.

Chocolate Orange

This has to be one of my favourite colour combinations over at DU2DS, Chocolate and Orange great colours even better chocolate.
For this challenge I used some more of Sam's girls, check out her blog http://lily-boosboutique.blogspot.com/ for some really lovely images. (No! I'm not on commission, lol)
I coloured the girls with copics and added some ultra fine glitter to the swirly bits. Butterflies were die cuts that I have had for ages and I glittered them too. Flowers from stash, a couple of which, I coloured with copics. The gorgeous backing papers are from a Bearly Mine Designs CD, Designer Extreme Vol 2. In case you havent noticed i love these cd's can't think what I used before getting these.

In the Jungle

Challenge 36 at Secret Crafter is In the Jungle.

I have used this lion and cub from Artful Inkables. Papers are from Extreme Designer Vol 1 and the leaves were from L EM Punch

New Stamps and Blog Candy

The new stamps from Whiff of Joy are on sale tomorrow and are just beautiful. To celebrate Katherina has some candy to give away. Check out the new stamps here.http://katharina1704.blogspot.com/

3 in 1

Okay I have to start of apologising for the knaff photos, didnt realise how bad they were till I started to upload them, the good news is that the streaks are from the sun coming out to play and the card looks loads better IRL.

I made this card which I think kinda works for 3 different challenges.

The challenge this week for Stampin for the weekend is to use a digi image - well I have used lots. Fraid I must be sufferin from a bit of amnesia or probably just old age, cos I cant for the life of me remeber where I got these digi images from. I know the girls, the shop and the sentiment on the front came from the same place!!!!!! The shoe is from Sandra Dark. The sentiment on the inside is a stamp that I picked up at Ally Pally, which I thinks says everything that needs to be said! I cut away the shop window and used a piece of acetate for glass I raised the shop on foam and added shoes and a backround. I then added an extra canopy to give shape. The girls are coloured in Copics. The papers are also digi and are from Retro Diva Designs.

The challenge for Papertake Weekly is Shoes - so this definetely fits the bill and for Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to use a quote.

Off to do the dreaded housework now, but hopefully if I get it done quick enough I will be back later to show you some more of my picci.

3 in 1 Copic Challenge and Scrapmumer's Sketch

Bit of bad day as far as robins went mrs robin started off quite well yesterday but wouldnt behave herself tonight and her wing has gone wrong so decided to do a challenge instead.

So have used the colours closest to Y23 RV11 and BV04 had for the copic challenge.

And followed the sketch for the Stamp With Fun Challenge.

The stamps are from Charmed Delectable, I masked the girl to enable her to sit on the chair.

The flowers I made with wire, utee and my melting pot.

The ribbon and button I found in a little Indian shop in our local market, which is full of bits and bobs.

I have just realised that this also qualifies for the Creative Inspirations Challenge this week.

Ribbon Border Challenge 2

I spent yesterday cutting out leaves and colouring the edges for my picci so thought I would have a break for a while before starting to wire them, which takes forever and is soo messy.

And what better way to take a break than enter a challenge. Another new technique for me from The Next Level, ribbon Borders. Have to say though although I like the finished effect I did kinda get a tad het up whilst trying to do it. On my first attempt I cut the slots for the ribbon too close to the edge and after struggling to get all the ends in I broke the last corner. duh! You know what they say about old dogs and new tricks! I didn't learn and did the same thing again.
But the good news was that I changed my mind at this time and changed my backing paper to thicker card which I sprayed with both Olive Vine Glimmer Mist and Aqua Lagoon Cosmic Shimmer Mist. The gorgeous image is one from Donna, which I coloued with Copics as is the yellow ribbon. Flowers and leaf are from stash. All in all I was quite pleased how this turned out.

Work in progress 2

I've managed to resist today and not touched a stamp. Done loads for my picci though.

I have done this picci before and found it really great to do as the pieces are all quite big so I dont have to get the magnifier out.
The first two photos are of pieces of background that I have cut ready to mould into shape. The third is the one of main background pieces that I have already moulded - not too sure how clear this is going to be but IRL it is very tactile and has a lot of definition. Hopefully if I have done

this right the next photo is of some of the faces of the rock that will attach to the background I have started to shape these already.
And lastly Mr Robin who is almost complete, just needs some finishing touches and he will be ready to wait on Mrs Robin. Sorry photos aren't up to much but they should give the general idea.
Oh BTW guess who was lucky again today!!!!!!!
Yep I won a blog candy from Nikki aka Bunny-Zoes blog I have been a follower of Nikki's for quite a while now as she does the most amazing stuff, pop on over and have a look when you get the chance. Thanks a million Nikki. Anyway glue should be dry on my cut outs by now so back to paper moulding for me.
